Kingdom of Zeal - The World's Premiere Jazz/Rock Fusion Chrono Trigger Band. With "Kingdom of Zeal," their debut studio record, they reimagine the Chrono Trigger soundtrack in a progressive jazz/rock style. They honor the spirit of the OST, while bringing it new life through live instrumentation, improvisation, and reharminzation.
“Wind Scene”, from Chrono Trigger, takes its 8-bit roots and mixes it with guitar-driven progressive rock performed by the Kingdom of Zeal. The single is the first release from the band’s upcoming self-titled album. Originally composed by Yasunori Mitsuda, “Wind Scene” accompanies the player while exploring 600 A.D. Kingdom of Zeal’s version opens with an 8-bit introduction before shifting into a full-band performance led by guitar and Andrew Lawrence’s piano.
Kingdom of Zeal features Andrew Lawrence on keys, Reuben Gingrich on drums, Tim Seisser on bass, and Cole Runge on guitar. “Wind Scene” was arranged and produced by Lawrence and recorded at Electrical Audio in Chicago, Illinois.
